Looking to up skill your current career? ACE Forklift Training now offer the Operate Elevated Work Platform (Yellow Card) course. The Yellow Card is not a High Risk Work Licence but a ‘duty of care’ requirement. Training is to be held in our fully-facilitated location at Padstow with our experienced trainers. In this course, students will learn how to identify and control risks and hazards, set up and use equipment safely, correct fault reporting procedures, safe shutdown and securing of the elevated work platform, while increasing their theoretical and practical knowledge in their assessment.

We only do Scissor Lift training at our premises but if you have equipment available we can come to your workplace and conduct Yellow Card Training for Boom Lift, Vertical Lift, Trailer Mount Boom Lift and Truck Mount Boom Lift.

ScheduleTraining is conducted every Friday from 8am, but if numbers are adequate courses may also be run on Wednesday or Saturday by request. Training is held over 3-6 hours for full training and assessment, depending on class numbers and operator experience.
Pre-RequisitesMust be 18 years of age
Have good understanding of both written and spoken English
Have one form of photo ID (Drivers Licence, RMSA Proof of Age Card, Passport, High Risk Work Licence, Boat Licence or Firearms Licence)
Arrive wearing closed shoes, safety boots are preferable
Course Content

Individuals enrolled in the Yellow Card course will cover the following content:

  • Hazard Identification and Risk Control
  • Pre-Start and Pre-Operational Checks on the Elevated Work Platform
  • Safe setup and use of equipment
  • Fault Reporting Procedures
  • Shut Down and Securing of Elevated Work Platform
  • Assessment in theory knowledge
  • Assessment in practical knowledge
OutcomesStudents will receive an Elevated Work Platform Association of Australia (EWPAA) Yellow Card upon successful completion of the Yellow Card course. The Yellow Card will be mailed out within 14 days of course completion. The EWPAA will also email out a proof of course completion to allow immediate use of equipment.
